Welcome to the latest update from WhisperClaims! We’ve been hard at work refining our software to bring you even more value and efficiency. In this month’s release, we’re thrilled to introduce two game-changing features – R&D Intensive calculations and enhanced security with two factor authentication.
For the past few months our developers have been beavering away, finishing off the changes we made to be compatible with the AIF, as well as making it easier for our team to manage our clients. Alongside this, they’ve built a couple of exciting new features:
Earlier this year, HMRC released an updated version of the AIF, including an entirely new section on enhanced support for R&D intensive SMEs. This section contains a series of questions aimed at calculating whether a company meets the criteria to claim as an R&D intensive SME or not. We’ve spent the past couple of months building this capability into our app, to ensure that our users only complete this section of the AIF if they do meet the criteria, saving them time and effort!
To do this we’ve added new background calculations and new questions to gather the figures needed to assess each claim against the R&D intensive criteria.
And we have included a new section in our report outputs to explain to HMRC how the claiming company meets the relevant criteria.
WhisperClaims dynamically tailors the question set to match the precise claim period our users are addressing. This ensures that they are presented only with relevant questions, optimising their experience and efficiency throughout the process.
We’re really happy with this new feature, and look forward to getting feedback from our users on how well it works!

Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of protection by requiring users to provide two forms of identification before accessing their accounts, ensuring that no-one will be able to gain access to the app without the right credentials.
With 2FA our users can rest assured that their accounts are more secure than ever.
