Welcome to the latest update from WhisperClaims. We’ve been hard at work refining our software to bring you even more value and efficiency. Over the past couple of months we’ve been working to add calculations to the AIF output to help you manage your claim and fill out more of the AIF.
We’ve now added a tax benefit calculation to the end of the AIF output in the background calculations section. This works for all claims and takes account of the PAYE/NIC cap when calculating the available tax credit for SMEs. The approximate tax benefit is now also displayed in the review screen.We’d welcome any input on this feature especially when it comes to the benefit for RDEC claims – give us a shout if you have any suggestions on how it can be improved!
Alongside this, and very closely linked, we’ve added in questions and calculations that work out whether an SME claim is affected by the PAYE/NIC cap. We’ve added this to both the AIF output to make it easier for you to answer the questions about the cap, and the background calculations section, so you can see how we’ve come to our conclusions on whether the claim is capped unaffected or exempt.
Alongside these bigger features, we’ve been busily tweaking the wording in several places throughout the app to make sure that the questions are clear easy to understand and up-to-date with the current legislation.
