For accounting periods starting on or after 1 April 2024, R&D tax claims will need to be prepared under the new stand-alone merged scheme regime, replacing the RDEC and small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) schemes.
Sounds simple, right? Well… maybe not.
The merging of the SME and RDEC scheme, whilst also operating a separate scheme for SMEs that are R&D intensive and loss making, perhaps introduces even more complexity than ever before (let’s not forget the NI scheme too).
Accountants and advisers preparing claims could be forgiven for feeling slightly overwhelmed with the prospect of navigating up to seven schemes over the next 2 years – it’s a lot!
We’re thrilled to announce the imminent launch of our new merged scheme product – a game-changing update to our app that has been designed to guide accountants and advisers, helping them to smoothly adapt to the regulatory change.
No extra setup, no learning curve.
The new, enhanced functionality is fully embedded within our WhisperClaims platform, delivering clear, HMRC-ready reports and AIF outputs that meet the latest compliance requirements.
Keep an eye out for our official launch of our new Merged scheme product and if you want to be among the first to experience how WhisperClaims is redefining R&D tax compliance under the new Merged Scheme, why not book a demo?
